The Wholesome Table | Taguig

Trawling around the metro, there’s no doubt that a blazing fusion of raw and organic cuisine is in full swing. It’s no longer about a friendly bowl of salad or a cup of mixed fruits to feel nourished and fit. These days, locals are dishing out the boring fare and re-sparking their interest on nature’s best. And transforming the way it vibes off the dining scene is The Wholesome Table.

An eye-catching attribute of down-to-earth aesthetic, the garden themed space features a delightful interplay of wood and metal texture. While adding to the scheme are keenly detailed showpieces – white lanterns hanged in trees, chalkboard menus backdropping the worktop, mirrors cleverly designed as windows and wall-shelves materialized with rustic décor.

But beneath the cohesive and serene surface is a character that captures the philosophy of ideal comfort food outside your home. Yes! That means you could now eat out guilt-free!

EAT consciously. LIVE consciously.

IMG_6065.JPGBe Alive

Be Alive! Get your round-up fix of fruit and veggies with this hydrating and anti-inflammatory drink. Made with apple, kale, spinach, celery, cucumber, lemon and ginger, it’s a wicked elixir that would definitely fuel you up.

IMG_6066.JPGBuko (Coconut) Shake

But if you’re a bona fide maven of smoothies, this Buko Shake won’t leave you disappointed. Sweet, rich and milky… it’s a total indulgence in a jar. And by far the best coconutty treat I ever had.

IMG_6068.JPGAvocado Toast

Three words are all I can think of – simple yet amazing. On a bed of sourdough toast came the sliced avocado spiked with Dijon mustard and Dukkah spice. While sitting pretty on top, our favorite style of free-range egg – #yolkporn!

IMG_6286.JPGWholesome Salad

It’s a summer burst of watermelon, onions, sunflower seeds and feta cheese. All of which complements each other well with the sweetness balance of sherry vinegar, honey and extra virgin olive oil.IMG_6282.JPGThe Mediterranean

A mouthful in so many ways, this place sure knows how to make a good selection of wood-fired pizzas. Tapping off something new is their menu is this requisitely charred crust capped with fresh and flavorsome mix of roasted eggplant, olives, capers, fresh oregano and cheese.

IMG_6283.JPGHarvest Pizza

For a seriously notable bite, the truffle-based Harvest Pizza will guarantee to leave you satisfied and wanting more. In it are mushroom mix, roasted squash, roasted garlic, baked onions, cherry tomatoes, kale, pine nuts, olive oil, mozzarella, Emmental and Parmesan cheese. Together, this dish definitely says “Must Try!”

IMG_6067.JPGTruffle Mushroom Pasta

Still can’t get over the truffle loving? Good thing they offer it in al dente. Wild mushroom smothered with truffle cream and white wine, this sheer perfection is the gentle warmth to a creamy classic.

IMG_6284.JPGProtein Power Bowl

Of course we can’t call it a meal without our rice bowl. With quinoa as the base, this Protein Power Bowl includes a mix up of carrots, mixed mushroom, flaxseeds and beansprout. Oh! And the golden brown chickpeas that adds a crispy crunch texture. For a depth of flavor, well, a tinge of Tahini sauce.

IMG_6285.JPGYakitori Bowl

Sweet soy glaze of grilled chicken skewers with baked chicken crisp, snow peas and poached organic free-range egg. Served with it is brown rice.

As the name suggests, it is indeed a Wholesome Table.

  1. One of the best interiors I’ve seen recently, that resto. I ordered their pasta and it was indeed guilt-free. I’d love to come back here to try their other stuff. It was in BGC where I went, but they also have another branch down here in Makati, near my office.
